Did you see The Big Kahuna with Danny DeVito?
What it is: It’s a compelling drama that was released in 2000. Based on a play by Roger Rueff. The movie centers around three industrial lubricant salesmen (Kevin Spacey, Danny DeVito, and Peter Facinelli) at a sales convention. They are trying to land “The Big Kahuna”; the one big client that would make their year.
Why it’s good: Danny DeVito gives his best performance as one of the industrial lubricant salesmen, Phil Cooper. His character reminds us that life isn’t always about having the answers, but asking the questions.
The dialogue between Phil and Bob (Peter Facinelli), near the end of the movie, is one of my favorite scenes, and it’s a testimony of DeVito’s great performance.
